Privacy policy
This policy explains how MyAssociate handles personal information, consistent with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We hold ourselves to the same honesty in this policy that the product is built on.
Where your data lives
Your matter data is stored in South Africa. Model inference and document text recognition process the data in transit outside South Africa, and nothing is stored outside South Africa. We state this caveat plainly wherever we describe data residency rather than imply more than is true.
What we collect
We collect the account information you provide when you create a firm workspace, the matter documents your firm uploads (held strictly within your firm and isolated from every other firm), messages you send us through the contact form, and, only with your consent, anonymized website analytics.
Model vendors
To produce grounded answers, relevant content from your matter is sent to third-party AI model providers for processing in transit. We disclose this honestly and minimise what is sent. Those providers process the content under their own terms; where a provider may retain content, we tell you rather than imply that nothing leaves. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your matter content to train third-party models beyond what is needed to answer your own request.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the marketing site is used. It is off by default and consent-gated: no analytics cookie or script runs before you opt in through the cookie banner. When enabled, it runs in consent mode with IP anonymization. Website analytics is processed by Google, including in the United States. You can decline, and nothing analytics-related will run.
Tenant isolation
Every firm's data is isolated. Access is resolved from a verified identity on the server, never from a value in a link, so one firm can never reach another firm's data.
Deleting your data
A firm may request deletion of its data. On request we delete the firm's matter data on a per-firm basis. Contact us to start a deletion request.
